Troubleshoot a Short iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch Battery Life

To begin with make sure you properly charge the battery:

Turn Location Services Off. Settings > General > Location Services. You will not be able to use Maps while this is off but if you leave it on what happens is your device will constantly be trying to locate its position and this takes a lot of power.
